These are cool! I love the loose inkwash over the exactness of the 3d shapes. Keep posting!

I love this. I'm such a novice but this class has made me feel like I can really "draw everything". I love what you did and I may just have to copy you...

Great work Kendra! I love your approach to these exercises.

If I could offer a suggestion: Try to learn to control your edges if you are doing this in watercolor (or any media actually). Light falling on a round surface will give a very soft transition from light to dark. A cast shadow will have a crisp shadow at the edge of the object gradually getting softer as it moves away from the object casting the shadow. Right where an object touches down to a surface, a very dark shadow will appear (called a contact shadow) which dissipates rapidly. I've done a quick markup here showing you the difference.

The cool thing is these are easy to do in watercolor. Just add some water to your edges that you want to soften while you are painting. It will take a bit of practice to control it, but it's so wonderful and easy once you get the hang of it.

Keep up the great work! : )

@Lee-White Wow Lee! I just saw this! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Really appreciate the modified version and the notes on my original. It's so wonderful to get legit feedback and visual modifications on how I can adjust things. #svslearnrocks!
