      Hi my name is David
I am new to the forum and just created an account in SVS School. I have watched the course "10 step digital painting" in trial mode. I did not find a way to download the videos, is it because of the trial mode?
If I subscribe monthly ($ 24.99), then would I be able to download the course videos?

      Thanks in advance.

      David Ramirez

@daviz84 you must buy a course to download it. You can watch a video as many times as you want as long as you subscribe

@rcartwright Thanks for your quick reply.
Please corect me if I am wrong:

          • I understand when you say that in order to download the videos to my computer, first I have to buy the course, for instance pay $ 10 for "Battling creative block".

          • If I subscribe (pay a monthly fee) and have access to more video courses, in this case would I not be able to download videos? Just watch them online?

Thhat is my main concern since I would rather watch the videos offline.

          Thanks a lot.

                Hi David,

Sorry for the confusion. The reason we don't allow the download is because people sign up for the subscription price, then download all the content and cancel. So they get our entire library for $24.99. So we had to keep the subscription to online only. Similar to netflix, etc.

Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂

@lee-white Hi Lee, I understand, thanks for taking the time to explain.
I am looking the curriculum section to see wich videos to pick.
                  Are there any bundles?

i realise that it seems on paper moderately expensive for a subscription. But you have to realise what you get here. The forum is the place to discuss help when it comes to the video materials. I think the majority of the video materials have been used by the people here... but a good number of us are professional illustrators so unlike other places, you are getting peer mentoring. Now you don't have to subscribe to get that of course, but if you are going through any of the courses then it makes the mentoring more precise.
Second thing is think about it per day. Less than a dollar a day for what amounts to the best materials around. Some of the courses are literally hours, if not days, long in terms of materials.
Now...consider what you might buy for that amount? Bottle of coke is way more. Lattes...cappucinos...even a bag of crisps (aka potato chips?). Just choose which small indulgence you are willing to do without each day and level up your art 😃

                    Just my two penneth worth.

                      Great points Andy!

I should also add that you could do 4 years of SVS for less than what ONE class costs at RISD or the School of Visual Arts (or any private art school for that matter). : )

@daviz84 we don't have them bundled yet, but we are starting that later this year. So you might be able to buy two or three together and get a discount. We will make announcements as we get those going.

@lee-white If I pay for a month subscription for $24.99 and I want to cancel for the next month, how would I do that?

@zak You should be able to just press the cancel button and it will all you to watch videos until the end of your current subscription (at least that is my experience)

@zak Gary is correct, if you cancel then your membership is active until the end of that month. Note, if you are on the old price of $14.99 and you cancel, you won't be able to resign up at that price again. We have a TON of content we are filming for this year too. Just thought I'd mention that so you are aware of it. The current subscription price is $24.99.
