Art licensing Assignment WIP

Watched the videos. Now I'm going through my old paintings and trying to find 10 that I can do a few touch ups on and use for the product mock ups. This is the first one. I did some rendering touch ups, tried to fix some of the color, and did some hatching on top of it. Not sure if it's too dark or not may need to brighten it up with some adjustment layers . Anyways here's #1 of 10

Maybe these a few more here. So I think I got enough to work with. Now I need to do some home work and see where I can use them and do the mock ups.

Found this company that is asking for submissions. They do the flags, door mats, and mailbox covers... Briarwood Lane Still no luck on finding templates for the submission mock ups.

Sent my first submission out. I just did a screen grab from their website and Photoshopped my image in.

Looking great! I'm ditching the kids and doing some homework shopping today to get some names of manufacturers.
I also started looking back through my catalog. I wish I'd used more layers in my early years. Sigh. -

Here's another rework I did today. Used the owl from my kid lit 411 to replace the old one. All the characters and pieces of the new one are on their own layers so every thing can be rearranged for different layouts.

I don't know why but I'm getting way into this art licensing stuff I can kind of see a path for myself there (I have tons of old artwork I can update). Anyway found some more good info about Mock ups and sell sheets here

@evilrobot Me too. I like your updates, they are looking good. I'm really looking at some of my old stuff with a new eye. Its always painful to look back at old art, but I've gained a new appreciation for it. And also I've realized just how MUCH stuff i have... sketchbooks, digital files by the thousands. Jesh.

@evilrobot Not sure if you are looking for feedback on these at all William? Forgive me if not - On this one the little girl’s neck goes straight up instead of forward - possibly bring the neck forward on the rib cage a tiny bit and tilt it toward the chin?
