Hey everyone, So I'm looking at getting a tablet... I know about the iPad pro but what else is out there? I'm a little worried about cost, but if I have to save for a bit to get something decent I will. I've heard the name Huion... how does it compare?

I used one of these (an older model ) for 5 years. For the price it is pretty good. I now have a cintiq so I know it doesn't compare but it is well worth the price.

I’m still using a 22 inch yiynova tablet monitor like the one linked above. I’m happy with it. Works great without breaking the bank.

I have a ugee 2150 and it works great on windows 10, on windows 7 I had software issues. It's cheap for what it is. https://youtu.be/Kz52DPdJwUE

I had the same one in the link and it was a good tablet at the fraction of a cost of a cintiq.

My only complaint (and this is on my end) is that it was very cumbersome to use with a 27" imac. Between the large computer and the large tablet it took too much room on my desk.

I've been thinking about this too and have settled on either the Artisul D16 as a monitor display to tag along with my laptop or the Surface Pro or iPad Pro for portability. Here's what I've discovered, the iPad Pro coupled with the apple pencil is a fantastic portable drawing tablet but it's still only a mobile device which means it can't run photoshop and likely won't for a long time. The Surface Pro isn't as good of a drawing machine but it is an actual computer OS packed tight into a portable tablet meaning photoshop I'd possible and file management is streamlined. It's also more expensive to get the midrange i5 processor that's better for handling PS. Then come the monitor displays which are tethered to either your laptop or computer. Several companies make good budget Cintiq knockoffs but each one has its quirks. There are several YouTube channels that review these things. I keep going back to Brad Colbow's channel but there are others. I hope you find what works for your situation.

If you are running the iPad in conjunction with a macos computer, astropad.

@jimsz That is true I forgot about that. Some people have complained about the speed of the device and colors when using Astropad on an older Mac though I doubt that's an issue with new ones.

Hey, @rachel-lynn I'm using A Ugee HK1560, it works really well and is the same size as a laptop, giving enough screen real estate whilst not being too big. I have attached a link to the product and a youtube review for you.
