Wooden Mannequin?
-
@jason-bowen That's a good idea. Do people use them to learn posing at all?
-
@rajsolankiart I'm not sure they are a bit limited to pose. They are still fun to draw though.
-
@rajsolankiart I got curious about this as well. If you put this in as a YouTube search, you can find some cool tutorials.

For posing, there are really nice articulated figures out there. I have the Body Kun ones, they come with different hands, props, and a claw-arm thing to hold them in a pose. They're not necessary of course, but I found it useful for when you need a dynamic pose or something from a weird angle and want to get the legs/arms right.

@carriecopa oooh that one's awesome! We'll see, figure i'll try to use the oneI got for free and see what I get out of it!
-
@carriecopa My sister just got me one of these too. I just need to remember to use it.
-
I found one which has a wider range of motion and pose-ability. It's even got magnets to help hold poses in place!
-
@alexsen that looks amazing.

@alexsen I pre-ordered one of these in August and they keep delaying the shipping date. The latest word was that they are supposed to start shipping in April. If I ever get one, I'll let you know how well it works.
