NOt been around for a while, somewhat busy with commissions.
Just looking for a bit of advice. I've got a client I am doing the full works for (design, editting, artwork, publishing!), and i am a bit undecided about the format in terms of if to make the book squarer, or more A4 Portrait (when looking at a closed book/single page)
Either format will do in the end.
He is self publishing, and we hope to have this done in the next couple of months.
Any idea as to what this years 'on trend' format is in the UK where he is going to be looking to market?

A lot of my Toddlers books are Square in shape and vary in page length.... not sure if that helps at all?

Have you thought about the cost of the different sizes as that might help out with more books for sales. If you're getting a royalty you could earn more money if your client can print more books.

we are looking at two book sizes now, but they both price at A4 anyway so not much in it.
