@pamela-fraley I like the second and third one. Second one reminds me of an attic and emphasises for me the "hidden" away even more. And it is an instant blanket fort, pushing further that you can create a make believe fort just about anywhere without much supply. I also enjoy Blanket Fort 2 (3rd) because it is literally hugging the almost outdoors with the trees and yard looming behind the indoor tent/fort. It's really nice you are connecting this work to your childhood memories.

@heather-boyd thanks Heather. Yea, the attic does have that hidden away feel to it.

I think each one has something to offer and they all have a good sense in their composition. For me I think that blanket fort 2 works best though as you have a nice variety of shapes (the triangular tent and rectangular window). you will also be able to get some nice contrasting colors in there with the multiple light sources.

It's just a thought, but including some some creatures in there as though they have being imagined from the book could be an interesting concept to think about.

Blanket For 2 is my favorite composition as well. I agree it's a nice touch that the tent would be next the the trees that could be out the window. The line holding the blanket up draws the eye to the subject too. Good back/mid/foreground setup. Looks cozy!

@carriecopa thank you! Now hopefully I can pull off painting it. That’s the scary part. So do you think I should have the curtains on the window parted so you can see outside?

@gary-wilkinson I thought about putting some imaginary creatures in too... it might be a bit beyond my skill level though. So, I’ll ask you too, should the curtains be open or shut? Do you want to see what’s going on outside?

Under the Covers is my favorite, but these are all great ideas!

My pick is Blanket fort 2, I think it has the most interesting composition. You could push the perspective a little from the floor too which might be fun. Nice work!

@pamela-fraley yes, even though realistically the curtains would be shut at night, it would add a lot of ambiance to have them open and see a night sky with the silhouette of a tree or two.

@pamela-fraley I'm a sucker for 3/4 views, so #2 for me. The composition and values are very legible.

@laurel-aylesworth Okay, now I'm looking at number 1 and it could be lovely to really get in there and see their facial expressions. You could always do more than one 🙂
