@ailantan hi! What a fun idea! Love your concept! It does feel like it’s leaning a bit to the left. Don’t know if that’s with purpose or not? Also, the bed looks a bit small and thin with such a big monster underneath it.

Hi there! Love the concept! Wondering if there's a reason for the symmetry? I feel as if it would flow better if you kept the bed where it is and maybe the tent. But shift the kid to the left, and the monster to the bottom right, and it might create a natural flow down the page. Maybe the kid is in profile so we can better see how they are scrunched up scared? I already really like how you naturally have this feeling at the top of something is wrong, but then at the bottom this surprising and pleasant payoff with the monster fixing toys. I'm excited to see the next steps on this piece!

If I were to choose one thing that improved my art the most it would be due diligence with the thumbnails.

Nice work so far. I'm intrigued by #6 πŸ™‚

For number #6 It's monster mix of horns, owl, fur and moth antennae.0_1539537571244_Thumbnail 6 final.png When I look at it now I don't think like that I would show it to any kid xD But it was fun to draw. I will try one of the first thumbnails with rooms now.

                  Hi there,
Really lovely idea about a monster who fixes broken toys, it reminds me of the John Lewis 'Moz the Monster' advert, definitely worth a watch on Youtube for inspiration if you haven't seen it!
Looking at your thumbnails, I really like the feel of #1 with the lighting coming through the window and the arms of the monster under the bed. I think you could really do a lot with this, especially as we can see more of how scared the child is. It also gives you a bit more room in the composition to show more of the monster fixing toys.
Also #3 is a nice composition too, maybe the child in the tent has a torch so you could create some nice lighting and silhouettes there.

Looking forward to seeing where you take this next πŸ˜ƒ

I like the first two concepts best. The second one might let you get a better view of the monster, but if you go with the first one it would be cool if you made the little kid peeking out of its covers at this shadow-thing fixing the toys.

This room is from thumbnail i was drawing for misunderstood monster themed month, but haven't finished then. Im wondering if values and composition is alright in here. If anyone want to comment, please feel free to do so πŸ˜ƒ

Hi again! I took me some time to draw this piece, but its one of my fav pieces i worked on in a while. This kid is super strong girl named Abby , she is crushing a toy of her superhero enemy. When i forst drawn it, it was pointed to me i messed up on length of her left arm, so did change that and hope it looks alright πŸ˜ƒ

                                      0_1544208619938_Illustration Finalsmall.png

I also got feedback on my previous black and white picture, there are tangens on left side where ball is and toy snake, and there seems to be a little disbalance of thing where most of foreground clutter is on left. So i will be ajusting that, and then working on coloring it.

I added some changes to composition and started coloring this piece. I'm wondering if you look at it colors seems nice? Is it colored correctly? Are there some things that seems to be lacking?

@ailantan I really like the concept of this piece, and it's cool to see you finish it. Thanks for sharing your process! I'd suggest thinking about where you want the viewer's eye to go first in your piece, and what you want them to look at next. Areas of contrast or warm colors will usually draw the eye to a certain spot. Right now, my eye keeps going back to the pink pig and green block, even more-so than the toy that's being fixed. It helps me check where my eye tends to focus by making the image really small. Hope this is helpful! Best wishes!
