Here are a few really quick, messy ink sketches, playing with environment and getting ideas down. I have a tendency to come in close on my subjects and I need to start breaking them up a bit and doing more distance shots also.

One of the many things that I need to start incorporating into my process: quick idea sketches. These are great.

One way to learn better composition and lighting that I have started doing is repainting movie and television scenes. I will take a mental note when watching something on Netflix and go back and find the scene and take a screen shot of the scene I thought was well done and paint a quick thumbnail of the scene.

@shinjifujioka Thank you, it's a great way to explore ideas quickly without overthinking things esp since I can erase it. 😃

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan You should feel confident. You are putting out some really great work. You must have been working hard for the last couple of years.
