March Prompt "Book Cover"
-
@JessicaClark Thank you Jessica!
-
@Johanna-Kim I submitted my jpeg in the same format as you did. I have been lamenting about how it looked dull as compared to the way I created it but could not figure out why. Iโll have to remember this for next time.
-
@JennyJones I like your cover for March. Is that the one that came out faded? If so, you should resubmit it before Chip does his photo album. Nothing's worse than spending hours/days on something and not having it look the way it should in the end due to a technical glitch.
-
@sigross Yeah, you captured that feeling spot on!
-
@Johanna-Kim Yes thatโs the one. Iโll try the resubmit. Thanks for the compliment too!
Update: it looks like what really happened with the โ dull โ look is that I left a Layer turned on that I should not have. The rest of the color looks pretty right on. I would be submitting an edited illustration if I resubmitted, so I will leave it ( and pay better attention next time. ). Thank you anyway.

@JDRpictures wow
-
@Jon-Anderson Love the life that is in this picture! Great job
-
@avfarrar Thank you!
-
@Sas Thank you. Yes, I used gouache and prismacolor pencils and then I edited a lot in photoshop.
-
@JessicaClark Thank you very much! I'm really happy you like it
-
@sigross This is wonderful, well done! One of my favourite books and think you've captured it really well
-
@ShannonB much appreciated. Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't read it for years. It's been great to go back, take another look at 1984 and re-awaken the story.
-
@JDRpictures Iโm so glad you did this! Itโs one of my favorite books (the literal worst film adaptation ever). This is wonderful!!
-
When do they usually announce the results for the monthly prompts? Or have I missed it somehow
-
@hannahmccaffery you haven't missed it yet. Its usually right around now that Lee will be posting the results.
-
@Chip-Valecek Ah okay, i'm glad I didn't miss it then, thank you!
