Whenever anyone mentions mermaids I can't help but think of sailors recording 'mermaid' sightings and describing the creatures as much more masculine and whiskered than they anticipated :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes: So my mermay entry contains no mermaids. Just the things that most likely spawned the mermaid myth.
