Yesterday I played with procreate(usually using only for sketching), I am always painting clean,with clean lines and everything in Photoshop, but not yesterday, this was very raw, sketchy and unclean drawing with colors and I liked it and had lot of fun doing it...it was difficult for me not to correct everything..because I never draw in such style...

My piece for this month's art contest: "Message in a bottle"
This was such a fun challenge I seized the opportunity to create something new for my portfolio.
It's the first time I really mixed traditional and digital together and I liked working that way!

Mermaid tales have many common motifs, but to me the most important one is the moment of discovery. Finding something both strange and familiar that exists in a world we know little about and cannot ourselves survive in. Thanks!
