Hi All,

So excited to be joining these forums!

A few months ago, I decided to turn my efforts away from fabric design and toward children's book illustration. I'm so glad I did! I find it so much more satisfying, and it's opened up a huge new world of things to learn.

I just signed up for my first scbwi conference in September, and I'm a bit nervous. I feel like I've got a ways to go before my work is ready for publication, but the whole community seems so friendly to newcomers, and jumping in with both feet seems like the thing to do. Yikes!
