wip_values_v2.jpg Updated reindeer and lightened up the values in the foreground. Still it is a value study vs the actual values. So once I lay the color down I will make sure to keep the level of values in mind. Taking a break for a few days for my annual pre-thanksgiving vacation to Wisconsin Dells!

local_color.jpg Back from vacation and got the local color down. Next step shadows, but before I start on that any tweaks to the local color?

@Chip-Valecek you need to darken the values of the snow if you want this to look like a night scene. There is far too much contrast at the horizon and the rooftop.

@seanwelty local_color_v2.jpg here is an updated version. Once I start to lay in the next step of shadows it will get darker. What do you think?

I'd only say that the elf's pants by the brown door need be a little different in tone. Can't wait to see more!

@Chip-Valecek better, but I think you can take it further. Plus think cooler colors in the blue and blue-violet range.

@seanwelty yes i will be using blues on a multiple layer to add shadows which will cool it down. Thanks for the input.

@Chip-Valecek - Nice job - I really like the northern lights added in there! My favorite part is still the look on the face of the lead elf as he is crash landing into the snow! That is a lot of fun. Great job and good luck!
