Opinions please.

Here is a sample from a book I am working on and getting ready to color.

And the next two are pictures from the past colored with water color and the other with colored pencils.

Which do you think suits the Granny book better? I could use brighter colors with the pencils. I want it to be a bit lively. Thanks. I appreciate your comments.

I personally feel that the first style fits it better, I'm not sure I can explain why? It just feels more homely to me, and grandma-ish?

@Daisy That's what I was thinking. Thanks! Maybe I'll try both just to see how it looks with the image and then post again.

I agree with @Daisy that the color pencil would work better. Although I really like the water color one.
