Hello Everyone,
I'm Kris. I've always enjoyed writing funny children's poetry (I love Shel Silverstein and Jack Prelutsky, Jeff Moss etc.) and always dreamed of being published (still do haha). But I never new anyone who could draw to help bring my poems to life... So I began trying to learn to draw, this was about a year ago. About 10 months ago while on youtube I accidentally saw a video called Fish Girl by Will Terry. I fell in love with wanting to learn how to do that. So, over the course of the past 10 months, without knowing anything about painting or photoshop painting I began my journey. Along with Will and Jake's videos I've tried to learn as much as I can through video tutorials. I hope that by being here I might be able improve my art and to gain knowledge into building a portfolio to maybe approach an agent and become a working illustrator. I've started this journey late in life, I'm 38 years old and this is a dream of mine I'd like to go after and hopefully succeed at on some level. Thanks for reading. And a special thanks to Will Terry for Fish Girl... it sparked me to try and dream again.- Kris

Hi Kris, sounds like you have had a similar journey to myself. It's exciting times. Wills also inspired me to become an illustrator.
