Help GIMP users!

I have a pdf of a book I wrote and illustrated a long time ago. I somehow managed to get it from a PDF reader into GIMP but it comes up as layers. In other words each page is a layer instead of a separate page. Is there a way to separate the layers so that each can be a separate page that I can work on? I want to fix a couple of things and maybe republish on Amazon. Thank you!

I figured it out. It was so easy. I just needed to click on something that said open as images (instead of layers). Yay!!! I'm learning!
