how would you describe you work to an art director / agent?

Hi, hope everyone are safe.
I finally getting to the point that I am going to reaching out to art directors/agents (like during next week).

I was given a tip by an art director about how to write an intro letter to AD/agent. He broke it down to write 3 things:

Why is your publishing house/agency is great?
Why am I great?
What can I bring to your publishing house/agency?

I think the first question is relatively easy to write, but the last 2 are kind of hard. It is always hard to describe my own work. So I thought maybe someone can help me to describe my work to an art director / agent, sort of like one of the 3 point pespective podcast about Style when Lee, Will and Jake describe the other person's style.

In return, I will send a physical postcard with my artwork on it to you (you can choose any of the artwork to be on the postcard from my portfolio site) - It will take some time for me to do this though since we are still in lockdown. But I will check with my local printer, and get the postcard printed and send as soon as he is in business again :-).

@xin-li You use bold shapes but soften it with textures and very lovely color palettes. The result is very soft, has a very poetic quality to it

@NessIllustration @Annaaronson thank you so much. This is so helpful. I would never thought of describing my work in the way you guys did. I will definitely talk about shape, textures, color and the mood when I reach out to ADs and agents.

I really love your artworks. They convey a nurturing and soothing quality that makes me feel safe in a way. Well composed in all aspects, so I would use words such as "balanced" and "harmonious".. but those sound boring in the context.
Being a father I would gladly invite my kids into the visual worlds you present in your illustrations.
