A proper hello...

Hello and welcome. You might also do well doing some children's book covers since you've done covers already. =|)

hello and welcome

@Heather-Boyd Yeah, the scope of narrative work is a lot to get my head around. I'm used to doing 1-5 images at a time. I'll look into covers and see what's involved. Thanks! Nice work on your site!

@LauraA Thanks for the kind words about my site. Good to know I'm not crazy in struggling to cross-over into something completely different. There are a lot of skills to build up and then coordinate. But it's all really interesting. Love the characters on your instagram feed. So much life in them.

@Wen-Sylvestre Thanks Wen! Love your style. It's so consistent and fresh. Really inspiring.

@Dima-Eichhorn Thanks Dima!

@Chris-Philpot Hi Chris
Your story is so interesting! You have such a strong set of skills and experience. How fun it must be to start anew and develop a brand new style for this second wind in your career. I'll be following with interest to see where your experimentation takes youWelcome to the forums!

@Chris-Philpot Thank you!

Hello!
Just curious, what field in design did you study?
-
@SpencerT Sure, my major was officially called "Communication Design." It focused on graphic design studio work that was prevalent in the Dallas area at the time. Branding, annual reports, that sort of thing. I went into web design and then magazine work pretty quickly after graduating. I was a magazine designer and art director for about 12 years.

Thank you, I just recently made it. It's a start. Just started a blog too because I love writing as much as I do making art. I continue to work on improving basic skills and a style (never ending process).
