JULY CONTEST: Design a book cover for the Wizard of Oz
-
@Chris-Perry-0 - Hi there, yes just post your finished piece on this thread. The file size is usually meant to be less than 500k I think, but Iβm not too tech savvy, @Chip-Valecek was extremely helpful when I asked him a few questions about reducing files sizes etc so maybe contact him or other SVS staff if you need more support.

@deboraht - this is such beautiful rendering, really delicate lighting. Love this image!
-
@lucillustrations - The black and white on this image looks fantastic with the red highlights. A really eye catching and original book cover!
-
@Marta-Kitka The concept of this is so fresh! Merging the witch's hat with a tornado... genius! And your use of color to separate elements is perfect. Love the hand pose, too.
-
@LauraLane this is delightful, if you stepped up any more you leave us all very much behind in awe. lols love this work and your style.

@carriecopadraws Great job picking a lesser known scene from the book that is still really eye-catching! I love the use of purple and the subtle tornado and city in the background.
-
@AnnieZyg20 Thank you! I like yours too. So much to look at and discover!

Well this is my first ever submission. So many beautiful book covers on this forum. I had some trouble trying to digitise my work but here it is.
-
@carriecopadraws This is so gorgeous, looks almost like a poster for an animated film. I would definitely pick it up off the shelf
-
Phew, glad that's finished! Anyone else planning to do the spine and back cover? I wanted to do it for today but it took far longer than expected (as usual). Good luck everyone.

@carrieannebrown thank you! It's the highest praise to me when someone says my work looks like animation! I love the colors in your cover and how you managed to fit together so many story moments. The way the title winds through the piece is just lovely.
