by normal i mean, there are displays of sub categories . and then i can choose from there
but as i use it now its organized by a mish mash of new posts from all categories. so i get there by clicking a sub category and try to manouver?

anyone had trouble with that too?

I'm new to this forum, so it's taking me a bit to get a grasp on it. I used forums for a long time way back in the day where the layout showed you all the different forum "rooms" if you will and you just chose where you wanted to go. Like Finished Art, WIP, General.... etc.

Hi @arielg and @Blitz55 🖐 😁 I’m new to the forum too and it IS a bit of a confusing learning curve navigating through all the posts as it has a rather atypical layout compared to all the forums I’ve been on in the past!
I discovered that I can change what I want to be the ‘home’ page in Settings (found in the menu connected to your icon on the top right of the screen) I saved ‘Categories’ as my Home but there doesn’t seem to be a quick button for Home that I can find...so I get there clicking on the Unread quick button and then select the Home URL on the top left from there... I’m still figuring it out too but I hope that helps some 🙃

            this worked! @Blitz55

just type categories in the "custom" section of the home page in your settings page.

            voila.

should be pinned though. this is very unforgiving for us oldschools.. 🐕

@arielg my hero, haha. Thanks for the tip, that worked great.

@Lovsey Hi, looks like the settings thing was the way to go. 🙂

This is how I normally view the forums. I don’t use the categories. I just read whatever post pops up.

that's fine everyone should make it however they deem fit no?

i prefer home>categories at first, because it displays all sub categories without any posts. just the titles of each forum.
