Hello all! Excited to join SVS after listening to 3 Point Perspective for a while.

I've been trying to get back into consistently drawing for a couple years, but have been in an overall creative funk. I've jumped into Introduction to Unique and Appealing Character Design and it's already helping me get back into things.

Excited to become a part of this community and learn! πŸ™‚

@Elliot hello fellow Southerner. I welcome you to the forum. Maybe some interaction with the creative here on the forums will help you kick your slump.

@Elliot Welcome to the forum! πŸ˜ƒ I'm glad you're getting back into the drawing habit again. I know what it feels like to be in years worth of an art slump. It can be so hard to pull yourself back out of it!

I hope to see your work as you go through the course. Don't hesitate to ask questions and get feedback πŸ™‚ Good luck!

                Thanks all! πŸ˜ƒ

I've already discovered my proportion comfort zone and I'm excited to be pushing out of it. I'll be sharing my progress in the class thread soon.

@Elliot Welcome from the PNW. πŸ™‚ I've been slowing chipping away at the abundance of resources I've found on the site, but am only now utilizing the forums myself (low self-esteem). I hear nothing but welcoming and supportive feedback and I look forward to more fully utilizing the site myself. I've also never posted work, but plan to do so soon as well. I found that the foundational courses are excellent starting points to sorta knock loose the creative-cobwebs. We all seem to have those moments where creativity isn't natural. I'm confident that a community such as this one will be an invaluable aid. I look forward to seeing your work and just wanted to say "hi." Take care.

@Jeremiah-Gorrell Thanks for the warm welcome and glad to see you’re stepping into the forums yourself πŸ˜„ I appreciate the amount of constructive feedback everyone gives here. I hope I can help others in the same way too!

Welcome from a fellow Southerner! I'm also working on online shyness here. Looking forward to seeing your drawings here! Being surrounded by creative people working hard has always helped me get out of creative slumps, so I hope your funk cannot withstand the power of this community!
