@Casual-T I was thinking that maybe you could make the bunny's shadow follow the texture of the grass. It looks like the shadow is floating over or under the grass as it is.

I made some adjustments to the shadow according to your suggestions. I find it amazing how big of a difference some of these small adjustments make. Thanks for catching that, John.

@Lee-White Much appreciate the encouraging comment. I hear what you're saying about those shadows in front of the house. They've been bugging me for a while now, and I was never quite sure why. You solved the riddle for me! I re-did the lawn with softer shadows coming from the bottom right. Looks much better, me thinks!

Finished drawing the room! A lot of choices that I made while doing this piece have pointed up my weaknesses. My grasp of tone/lighting, and using my line to reflect light sources is tenuous at best... just kind of atrocious. One step at a time, I guess! 😅

Here's the final versus the box outline stage of the drawing. I think I'm going to try this exercise one more time with a less extreme perspective so I can work on elements that I didn't quite get for this project -- like how the doors would appear if they were open/not using the same vanishing points.... and just showing off more of the ceiling and/or floor.

The robotic-legged steamboat is so clever! I'd love to see it on a t-shirt design, or a children's book. There's just a lot of fun possibilities for it. 😃

Also, dang, that spaceship. I'm loving the space corn chip energy of it. It takes me back to the fun I'd have with the original Cylon ship designs in (1970s) Battlestar Galactica. I loved the heck out of those things, because the shapes were recognizable and relatable to a young me. Love the vibes that this one is giving out too!

@Gas-Docs I think the warlock lamp is a great idea. I can dig it!! I'm pretty new around here and don't claim to possess any expertise, compared to some of the SVS OG's. So please take my suggestions with 7 grains of salt (and perhaps a wee pinch of finely ground celery seed [for added flavor])...

The perspective on the middle horn seems a bit off, and I also can't quite tell how/where it attaches to the skull (drawing through might be helpful for this). The horn on the right looks like it's coming out of the skull's mouth (I'm guessing this would be one of those "Tangents" Will Terry mentions in his Creative Composition 2.0 class), rather than from behind the skull. The shading might have something to do with that, as well.

And just to be perfectly clear... I think perspective is devil's work. I struggle with it every time I attempt to draw anything other than a stick figure—and sometimes even then!!

@chrisaakins yeah I realized afterwards I was nearly done I didn't have any really big objects. The robot in the foreground is unfortunately the biggest thing.

@Casual-T Thank you! I really enjoyed this class and I was actually very surpised to see how little work there was with the highlights, the local tone really does the heavy lifting. It was so nice to just follow along as well and just focus on the toning things as well.

I have finally finished the last assignment.
I think some props could benefit of some more texture, especially the armchair (it's supposed to be one of those massage armchairs), but I was having a hard time finding ways to make the scartches and wrinkles look natural, so in the end I used a textured leather-like brush
Overall I think I'm satysfied for this first attempt at prop designing and rendering even though I think it can be greatly improved, but I first need to experiment some more with the use of lines and ways to render.

I was having trouble getting things how I wanted them in color so I went through the 10 steps to digital painting class before I did this one. It is the soft lighting assignment. I was much happier with it and I felt like with the 10 steps I was consistently moving forward instead of going back and fixing things constantly, which was nice.

I have to say that I really liked this class, I thought it was just gonna be some introductory course where I would have heard things I already knew, but I'm happy to admit that it actually changed a lot the way I think when I draw. I now love drawing a cube and start carving other shapes in it. I might have to cancel my subscription here and look for sculpting lessons 😆

I decided to try and draw the interior of this house. Since it’s a wonky shape I thought I’d draw some different views and a floor plan before I attempted the interior. Long story short, I’ve created a perspective nightmare and am postponing the attempt until AFTER the perspective class. 😂

I just finish the light and shadow course. I think is amazing, very simple, but, at the same time, there s a lot of god information.

I am posting the assignment that I did. It took me more hours than I taught and I think is not good enough. I have a honest question, what I supose to do right now? Should I do the exercise again and tried to improve my light and shadow or should I continue with the level 2 courses and apply the principle of light and shadow on my own projects?

I am not sure if this is good enough to go to next level (in case, level 2 of curriculum) (I already did the other courses and exercise, too)
