So I saw someone on twitter doing ink washes, why would someone choose ink washes over watercolor? Just curious 🙂

I wanted to share an amazing tool my husband introduced me to. Don't laugh at me if you all have heard of it, lol. It is called the snipping tool. It is like screen shot but faster and easier, it is great for grabbing a shot of anything on the monitor especially during SVS videos and critiques.

I know I am constantly saying thanks and I appreciate this or that - but I really do hope that all of you know I genuinely mean it. Living by myself and working away alone all the time, it is really great to feel connected to other artists on this community.

I had spent so many years working in an office with a group of folks who became some of my best friends. We could also ask each others advice or be there to support one another when challenges or tough days came around. When our office was downsized/shut down, I decided to transition my career path to the creative which was really exciting. But the one thing I did not really realize was how much I would miss being part of a team environment. So I like to think of this group as that camaraderie I enjoy so much.

I really want to pick up the set of Faber-Castel polychromo pencils, but that price is intense. They are on sale at Blick right now for 40% off, which still makes them around $200. I'm about to pull the trigger on this set. Please stop me

Day 03 - The Flintstones. Always wondered how Fred snagged himself such a hot wife.
I wasn't having much fun with the brush pen because I was focusing too much on controlling it, so I switched to Fiber Castell pens. Ink is not as solid but I'm having fun drawing again. :^D=

@Kevin-Longueil Thanks Kevin. It was fun which always seems to help when drawing :^D= . Funny thing, I spent like 3 hours figuring out a signature that I liked enough to use as branding.

Day 2 (late)
Marcelo, my husband, as Vivi. This time I tried actually using the brush pen.

@Kevin-Longueil I was trying to show her shock that she threw a snowball and hit her neighbor in the head with it, but I think your pose tells the story better. I think I will give the pose a try. The second house is supposed to belong to the kids, but maybe it doesn't need to show at all in this piece. I will paint it out and see what I think, or try moving it. Thank you for helping me look at the piece differently.

@Rich-Green I have seen that. I was thinking - probably I am the only one who followed their size limits....
Does not matter, really. I am not sure how many people get to see the gallery, given how hidden it is.It´s going to be big enough when I print it for my portfolio 😉
