@carolinebautista maybe you don’t need to get the ‘All Apps’ plan. You said you only use Photoshop and Illustrator, right? Then just get those. It seems like you can get them for only $250 per year. Or you can get the Photography plan which includes Photoshop and Lightroom for only $9.99 per month. Also, just because it’s called an annual plan doesn’t mean you must pay the bulk price upfront. There’s an option for an annual plan but ‘paid monthly’. You don’t need to save up all at once.

@carolinebautista $600 works out to $50 a month, which sounds about right for all the apps, from what I know of their pricing. Every time I checked, the Photography plan was $10 a month, then a single app of your choice for $20 per app, then the plan for all apps is, from what I recall, about $50 or $60. From what I've seen they haven't hiked up they prices in ages, since I think it was the same when I bought my subscription 3 years ago. You must have gotten a hell of a deal on Black Friday!! $360 for all apps for a year is definitely not their usual price!

@Coley Me too! 😉 It's the best plan, there's no point to get all the apps only for illustration

@carriecopadraws I think there are so many great replacements for adobe products, but my year break really showed me how much I generally like working with them. Part of me wishes I would be willing to learn something else, but I just like them. I have gone through my negotiation spiel with them each year except that one year I took a break. This makes me more unaware of the full price, I guess. My cost has always been the 'introductory' price, for nearly ten years!

@sigross Yes, I'll do that, thanks. I always tell them I won't renew to start off the haggling. 🙂

@Nyrryl-Cadiz I am using more apps since Nov. InDesign and Animate, along with Illustrator and Photoshop. No, I don't have to save for an annual plan, but if I do the monthly plan I do not have a way to negotiate a lower price.

@NessIllustration I have seriously never paid more than 360 for all apps. Haggling a price isn't something I'm even good at - so I can honestly say I don't try very hard!

Anyway, you guys, there is no way all Adobe apps are worth 600 but you can see that if i'm that unaware of the full price it's because it has really worked to mess with them a bit. They always come down! every time! They would go so much lower that I didn't even ever think it was worth it to drop down to just photoshop or illustrator if I could pay a little more and put together a book dummy in indesign or try out animation! And this makes me wonder what price I could get if the full price for the photography plan is 250 a year. You all should haggle them down too! they are way overpriced...

@carolinebautista you can get the annual plan discount but still pay monthly.

@carolinebautista You can still get a lower price with a monthly plan. I pay £30 a month for all apps. Which is like around $360 a year.

@carolinebautista i guess if you have $600 upfront then, go for it. it is easier. i don't have that much money so i'll stick with the 'annual plan paid monthly.'

@Nyrryl-Cadiz It's not easier - I put aside that amount monthly, but ahead of time. Because I've negotiated down in the past, it's always been the equivalent of $30 a month or less for all apps instead of 20 a month, which is still doable for me when I make no money from illustration at all. So my question was basically whether Adobe had noticeably changed their prices to help me negotiate to keep the price down to that.

@carolinebautista i guess we'll just wait and see when Black Friday comes around if they'll bring back the sale. Let us know. i'd love to get in on that sale too.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz They always make a big deal about the Black Friday sale, so I'm sure that will be a good deal to get new subscribers. But in order for me to keep this price I may need to cancel and renegotiate. Or threaten to cancel. Or something. I will definitely let you know.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz I guess that's where my naive-sounding question came from. I didn't know the full price of all the apps until now so was checking with everyone here. I have had a student discount in the past, then negotiated to the equivalent even while not a student because I told them what I had budgeted and they matched it! Sometimes they would just lower the price because I asked over chat. I have the record of the amounts I have paid but not their regular subscription price.
