I love your use of lighting!nice work. And youโre so fast.
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz I really love these, Nyrryl.
-
@Nyrryl-Cadiz These turned out really nice. I can't decided whether I like your first attempt at the first scene the best or the later one, but did you an amazing job. Good luck with the contest!!
I have never been a member of SCBWI before, but would you recommend it even if i'm not in an area where there are any local chapters? I like the idea of taking part in these contests, and it sounds like some people found agents or other work through SCBWI.

@ambiirae @K-Flagg @KathrynAdebayo @Gary-Wilkinson Thank you, everyone!
@K-Flagg thanks! I simplified my rendering just to finish in time.
-
Hi, everyone! I just sent in the illustrations. It's out of our hands now. On to the next project! Thank you so much for all the help. I appreciate all of your inputs!
-
@Gary-Wilkinson Thank you! If you're interested in joining, I say go for it. They cost $100 per year if you're from a developed country and $50 if you come from a developing one. If you become a member, you can join in all of their contests. One of our fellow artist here in the forum @Neha-Rawat joined the last scbwi portfolio competition and won first place! Even if you don't win, joining and being seen by publishers and agents is always a good thing. Plus, they also have a bunch of talks and seminars about the illustration business. Though, I've never participated in one because of my schedule, they're always a good resource. I highly recommend signing up.

@Nyrryl-Cadiz this turned out GORGEOUS! I like your changes, the first story showed determination and success, and the second one is more complex and really sweet. It punched my feelings in a good way. The values and compositions are WORKING IT!
-
