Yeti Character and Home Design
-
@donnamakesart yes, yes, yes!!!!
go for it, girl!
-
Thank @Nyrryl-Cadiz thanks @Georgios-Christopoulos
I’ll finish it tomorrow but I’ll keep my expectations low (it doesn’t have top 16 feelz for me haha)
Next time, I’ll do more initial explorations

Yes, definitely finish even if you don’t like it. It’s too easy to just quit when we start having doubts (I’m terrible about doing that.0 Besides, this really is a cute character! You may end up with something you really like if you keep fiddling with it.
-
@donnamakesart Absolutely finish pretty please! I really love your yeti.
-
Thanks @Kat ! That is so true haha. Listening to 3Point Perspective just to keep me motivated
-
Thanks @Heather-Boyd ! I can really get in my head sometimes. It’s good to get some outside feedback after a while
Here’s the progress so far:
Mainly drawing inspiration from bison and bats :)) totally does not make sense but I didn’t wan’t to go for the usual monkey + human combo
-
@donnamakesart Love it!!!
-
@donnamakesart Oh my gosh! I love your take on the yeti! I'm so glad you decided to continue with it
-
Thank you for all your kind words! Here’s the finished character sheet. I kind of like how it looks sketchy with all the noted and thumbnails but I’ll see if I can clean up the layout a little
-
@donnamakesart This looks so nice! I love it!
-
I really like your yeti idea, and the cross hatching style, you should definitely finish it!
-
Thanks @Kat and @mallison25 ! Just submitted it to the official thread. I’ve never entered a contest so this is nerve wracking haha.
-
@donnamakesart This is beautifully put together
. Thanks for not giving in or giving up. Merry Christmas yeti.

Revisiting the Yeti challenge after watching the feedback video
Hugely inspired by Ye Ye the Yeti haha. I might try a bird design just cuz it’s more kid lit friendly
-
Home so far... I wanna tweak the character design a bit more. Something fit for children’s book and a bit more like my style
-
@donnamakesart looking good!
-
@donnamakesart I really loved your original yeti too! I imagined his tall legs blending in with birch trees and snow drifts, and you would only notice the gentle magic of him if you looked up
-
Woahhh your long legged yeti design is SO cool! I'd say yes that's definitely worth finishing!
-
Thanks @Nyrryl-Cadiz !
-
Aw thanks @HeatherBouteneff Yeah the original one is very much the concept of “Gentle Giant.”
