Revisiting the Yeti challenge after watching the feedback video

Hugely inspired by Ye Ye the Yeti haha. I might try a bird design just cuz it’s more kid lit friendly

Home so far... I wanna tweak the character design a bit more. Something fit for children’s book and a bit more like my style

@donnamakesart I really loved your original yeti too! I imagined his tall legs blending in with birch trees and snow drifts, and you would only notice the gentle magic of him if you looked up

Woahhh your long legged yeti design is SO cool! I'd say yes that's definitely worth finishing!

@Dima-Eichhorn thanks so much!! I quite like my lonesome version but I feel the need to change the art direction so it would fit more clearly into children’s book market haha.

The house so far. I’m struggling on how to show the Yeti’s personality... any suggestions? Winter places I imagine are quite bare

Figuring out the best view to draw.... if you guys have any preferences let me know haha.

I might also draw a cut away view to show the interior to show how this is just an entrance way. The real living quarters are actually under ground haha. Hope I make it in time

Your home design is awesome!! Love it. As for the personalization, I'd say anything from an animal he likes to ride(that can withstand cold, a big name sign on top of the door, trash can bin(?), or even a sign that welcomes people, or tell them to get away!!!

@Georgios-Christopoulos thanks for the ideas! I don’t know if a sign or an animal to ride fits my character but Maybe a sled he built or some fishing equipment to show how he hunts for food. I think on it a bit more haha.

Love how your designs are coming along though! I was cheering Winslow on during the fight. He had so much character haha

It’s turned into a proper winter wonderland haha. Forcing my illustrations to be more shape based. Doesn’t seem to be quite as bland now. I might try putting a fire place and fiddle instrument at the bottom Left I’ll see if I still have space haha

Final design. I might render the other points of view but I was quite happy how this turned out

Lots of room to improve but not bad for someone who “can’t draw backgrounds”

Trying a different angle. Noticed my prtfolio lacked full spread illstrations and looked kind of bland
