@Braden-Hallett Love this!!Big parts of story telling on this one!!
-
@Braden-Hallett this is fabulous! I also doodle all over my D&D character sheets, and I feel like this added layer of pencil sketches really nails the character sheet concept down and gives such a great sense of what kind of guy Sammy is. Great work!
-
@Braden-Hallett He's so cute! I love his bag of marbles. Have you actually played him in a game?
-
@Braden-Hallett Wow this looks awesome! I love your character and all the doodles - he feels so alive! I also like that in in the main image it feels as if the immensity of his quest has just dawned on him - he looks worried. The old woman's words probably aren't helping - it's a lot for a small Tiefling, even with a battle llama.

my dnd sheets become little rages within 2-3 sessions. I've tried keeping scratch paper and sketchbooks, but it just doesn't work!

Oh goodness, no. I'm much more the handlebar mustache elderly barbarian or halfling thief with no social decorum kinda player

Especially when the 'battle' llama is known for watching impassively and farting silently (but incredibly deadly) and not much else.
-
WOW! This thread and your process is so amazing! Inspiring! I love this piece!
-
@Miranda-Branley Thanks so much! I think it'll turn out pretty good
-
Background laid in with fancy mask!
-
I get the leave the village!? REALLY!? WHY!?
Oh right... the goblins...
-
@Braden-Hallett That poor lady sure got older!!!Love Sammy!
-
@Georgios-Christopoulos Thanks man It's allllll comin' together!
-
Threw on a levels layer and brightened things up a tad.
I forgot his tail/butt bow. It's gotta be tough to have fitted clothing when you've got a tail!
-
gussied up the sketches
-
@Braden-Hallett Your work is so goood! Not sure if you are looking for feedback or not? for me your first version of the older lady was perfection...her expression and form seemed really perfect to me...especially her expression. New one is great too of course - just sharing the thought - feel free to ignore.

I've been thinking the EXACT SAME THING! Sometimes I get it perfect in the study stage with a few nice little blobby shapes and I lose it once I start to sharpen things up with line.
She needs a makeover for sure. Thanks for the feedback. I am ALWAYS looking for feedback

Ugh the struggle is real. I feel like that's one of my major frustrations right now. Trying to bring back the organic quality of
the blobby/sketchy/scribbles once you begin finishing has been a real bear to tackle on the regular.
