Hi, guys! New project here again. I'm making a book cover for "Anna Dressed In Blood". I really enjoyed reading it a few years ago. It just stirred a lot of amazing visuals for me. let's just hope I still have time to finish my other projects. lolz

      All feedback is welcomed.

      Stay tuned for more.

I'm not familiar with the book myself so I can't give feedback on how well the design conveys the story.

However, I do love the atmosphere you already have and especially the design of the woman who I assume is Anna.
Feedback would be that I think it is a bit bottom-heavy, especially if you intend to put the author's name at the bottom, where it usually goes, and have finished detailing the 3 kids. I'm not sure if there is some way to move Anna's hands a little higher so you can move the text higher too to create more breathing space? Either that or add something behind Anna to make the top a little busier to match the bottom? Those are my suggestions anyway, I think it's already quite good.

@CukiArtist thank you! I agree. I’m planning to add the text on top I think

I don't know the book either! But:

I really like the top,the hair, her face, etc. and don't think that part needs anything else because it creates a great silhouette. But I agree that the text is pressing down a bit. If Anna raises her arms a bit in front of her, it will still be believable anatomically and you can raise the text. I also think the figures in purple could be a little bigger or higher. They aren't quite harmonious yet, though I know this is just a rough sketch. There's just an awful lot competing for attention down there, especially in the gaps between them and their legs.

The text itself is almost getting lost. Either it could be darker, bigger, or there could be less "blood" behind her. So my advice is not to complicate the top in order to balance with the bottom, but to simplify the bottom part and do what you can to make it bigger or raise it up.

You're doing such a lot of interesting things these days!

I haven't heard of this book but I just looked it up on Amazon and OMG the cover art is awesome and I may have to purchase these. I love your version with her hair flowing up, very ghostly. I can't wait to see your finished version.
