Paper for printing your own stationary
-
I've started using some of my illustrations to make cards for people's birthdays, anniversaries, etc. These are usually one-off sorts of things so rather than printing a whole set of one illustration, I'd rather print them singly as the occasion arises. Do you have a recommendation for a good paper/envelope set to do this? (The originals are watercolors so I'd want a paper that looks nice with a watercolor illustration.)
I have thought about just printing them on watercolor paper itself and cutting them to size but then I'm not sure what to do about envelopes.
Maybe I'm overthinking this but I wondered if anyone else has done this so I can learn from your experience.

@demotlj what kind of printer do you have? I use an inkjet and learned the hard way that it does weird things on real wc paper because of how absorbent it is. I have used Avery business card paper with an inkjet and had good experience with it. Looks like Avery also makes greeting card/note card paper. You might also try a matte photo paper that is compatible with your printer.
I don't have experience with laser printers but I imagine that the type of paper isn't as much of an issue.

@demotlj Then again there's this, which looks worth trying: [https://www.smilingcolors.com/2020/09/printing-on-watercolor-paper-at-home-what-you-need-to-know/](link url)

@jenn Thanks for the link. I think I'll give printing it directly on watercolor paper a try first and see how it goes. For one thing, I have it already so the worst that can happen is I'll lose one sheet. I'll let you know how it goes.
