Wow, very cool illustrations everyone! Here are mine, I could not choose so I worked out two ideas.

Here is my entry for STAR!
I am really busy this month... so I had to combine the contest prompt with trying to get any Christmas illustrations done this year. -
@joosterwijk I love the one with dinosaurs upside down, very unique concept.

@xin-li Thank you!

This is my 2nd submission. I had fun applying the custom brush tutorial and various other svs tutorials for this image. It started with scanned pencil then digitally painted. Originally I had the family lying on flat ground with a swingset where the houses are. I changed it to a slope and added the houses in the background to improve the dynamism and depth of the composition. I was inspired by all the stargazing my family did during COVID shutdown. We observed the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction, comet NEOWISE and shooting stars.

Hi everyone, so my idea for this months challenge was to show a little rat who dreams of becoming a famous violin player. At the moment he earns his money from busking so he can feed all the hungry little mouths waiting for him back home. Will he succeed and become a star? Who knows. The music industry is a tough business.

Hereβs mine. Good luck everyone

@moana-maureen I love this! So much feeling. The limited color palette and textures are great. Awesome work!

Stars are symbols of hope and longing. It has been a rough couple of years for everyone, and the hope that is embodied in a star means more during this holiday season. Stars represent the hope of healing and the hope of being together again.
Here is my entry for "Star."

I've been obsessively drawing astronaut star collectors for a few months now and was thrilled when I found out this month's prompt was star. It gave me a perfect excuse to create another of these! Can't wait to see everyone else's submissions!

This is my first time posting on the forum very intimidated by all the amazing work. Iβve had a busy year and Iβve really wanted to join in and learn more. Not sure how to navigate the forum yet. Iβll get there lol. Here is my own take on the star prompt. Had lots of fun doing it tonight

Here is my entry for this month's critique arena! A kitty stealing the moon
This time, I did a fully traditional painting. Wish I had a scanner to get a better picture, but I did the best I could with what I had

Here's my Christmas adventure where a young boy has used the North Star to make an important last-minute delivery. Good luck, everyone!

Here's my submission for this month's 'Star' topic. In my piece, the bright star represents hopes and dreams for the future.
