Naming my own graphic novel/webcomic
-
So I am still in preproduction phase, but I am super excited about the comic I'm creating so far. I could use some help though. I am not quite sure what the title should be yet? I have some ideas that all give off a similar vibe, but not sure what stands out the most...
Brief description: Sinbad meets Journey to the West, but space travel. I created my own galaxy and pantheon/mythology by using inspiration from a variety of different mythologies, stories, and cultures including Greek, Celtic, Hinduism, Judaism, Taoism, etc.
Some of my ideas so far:
- Semi-Demigods
- Campaign of the Cosmos
- Trek of the Cosmos
- Voyage of the Demigods
- Intergalactic Voyagers
- Tales from another Universe
- Galactic Adventurers
- Pirates of the Cosmos
Main Characters:
Rowan, Nova, Abbadon, and EsmeDo any of these seem interesting? Please let me know if there is anything else I should consider.

Hey Kayleen. I have a long and a short response.
My short response is 9. Demigod Pirates! LOL. JK.Long response: Have you researched your comic name on all the webcomic platforms? (Webtoons, Tapas, Dilly etc?) Have you seen if your preferred title is available on Instagram/twitter/Tumbler? Is the Domain available for your preferred title so you can create a website? (I haven't made mine yet. Yikes) I'd say at least Google it and see what comes up. (for me Essential oils come up! LOL. But if I type COMIC after my title then I get a google hit.)
I know when I was deciding what to call my comic I did a ton of research on the social media stuff. However, I knew I wanted my title to be the name of a 'street drug' bought by the rich...
Anyway... go with what feel right and what you like. You'll be living with it for ... years!
Cheers
Katrina

@kayleenartlover Have you thought of keeping it simpler? For instance...let's look at a good many of the Marvel, DC and Dark Horse titles. I think for the most part, they fall into a one, two or three syllables such as Spider-man, Fantastic Four, Thor, Iron Man, Avengers, X-men, Hulk, Spawn, HellBoy, Conan, John Carter, King Kull, Red Sonja, etc. I know there are exceptions such as Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy but I think they may fall in the rank of exceptions. I also know the main title usually has accompanying adjectives but they weren't normally ever used when speaking of the title. With all that in mind...how about Cosmic Pirates (deriving it from the last of your offerings) shrug Just a thought on the matter but without knowing more of the idea and the stories to come....it's the best I can offer.

I’d have to agree with @randarrington right now most of these sound a little busy, to me. I do like his suggestion of cosmic pirates, it’s a little less dense, it sounds like a band I’d be into lol. The tales from another universe sounds like a great addition to a title. COSMIC PIRATES- Tales From Another Universe
