Hey everyone, this is the first time posting my work on the forum. I'm a little nervous.
I've been enjoying viewing and reading everyone's posts and am excited to find a community of people passionate about art and Illustration.
I'm looking for some feedback on my concept for May's contest. Any feedback is welcome.
      Thanks in advance!

@muddytux This is looking good. I like the concept and the dark moody/scary feeling. The only thing that I noticed was the white waves on the rock to the right of the monster are all roughly the same size and same distance apart from each other. I would also make them darker the further away they get from the thing rising from the water so they don't draw more attention than your focal point.

@muddytux That is flippin' awesome, Adam. I agree with what Kim's pointed. I'm not sure there's anything else I'd change! Are you a fan of John Kenn? This reminds me of his work. I think the only thing I'd try is adding a little distraught vessel in the ocean to up the stakes a bit — and maybe that's why the father and son are out in the storm. But it might be just as good without.

Thanks so much @Katherine ! O0o, I like that. I’ll see if I have time to add a vessel of some type in. Good idea!
I’m not familiar with John Kenny’s work, but I just checked it out. Yikes, his work is super well done and super scary. You’re right this piece totally has a John Kenn vibe. Your work also has hints of J.K. in some of your pieces. Is he one of your illustrator heroes?
