Kamari's End / Beginning - WIP

I'm still trying to figure out the story / concept I want to do, so first, I Googled "Kamari".
Search Results:
Kamari is a village and resort on the east coast of Santorini, a Greek island known for its rugged volcanic landscapes. Kamari Beach has black sand, an open-air cinema and a cafe-lined promenade. South, Mesa Vouno is a steep, rocky mountain topped by the ruins of Ancient Thira, including Roman baths and a Greek agora (main square). The trail winding up to the ruins continues south, to the beach village of Perissa.
Kamari is an Arabic girl's name that means “moon.” This name carries gentle connotations as the moon's soft glow illuminates the night sky.
The name Kamari is both a boy's name and a girl's name meaning "moonlight". A melodic name that's taking off in the African-American community.
Kamari is a male hyena in the movie, “The Lion King”. [edit: It's not one of the ones in the original Lion King, so it must be from a sequel, TV show, or remake. I don't think I've seen any of those. So that's why I couldn't really remember that name from the movie.]
Here are some ideas I've been brainstorming the last few days, but I'm not sure if any of them are any good!
#1
Kamari has been journeying, along with a “trusty” companion. They have hit a surprising “end of the road”. There’s a dead end when they find the bridge over the chasm has broken & crumbled away. Discouraged, they decide to take a break to eat a snack & consult the map to look for another way. Kamari is completely unaware that some spilled treats have aroused the attention of some magical creatures below. However, the horse / companion is startled to see the creatures & looks on hopefully as a possible path appears before them. (Maybe testing out the magical bridge?)#2

Yes! It is the end for you, Kamari! (The dastardly Kamari is defeated.)
Or
It’s the end of the road for you. Sorry Kamari! (Cautionary tale, or sad story.) (Or a mischievous or naughty pet is reigned in.)#8

@Miriam Good job on your research!! Many things I didn't know. And so many ideas.
I like nr 3 where the moon goes to look under the sea. Maybe when we don't have a moon it's shining in the sea. Or you could use a mineshaft for 3.1 and then maybe the moon gets stuck finding his way back and the stars go look for their friend.
I'm always a sucker for ideas about trash getting a new life or upcycling stuff (nr 9).
Nr 10 made me laugh, because it seems to be the end of the road for my kids when something they really wanted isn't there or happening.
I think these make the clearest and more original stories.
Looking forward to seeing some of then worked out in a sketch. -
Great ideas @Miriam! I really like your first one the best!

Very nice! I usually start with a written list too...I like number 3, it has the start of a twist. Something that makes total sense (after you are shown), is consistent with the elements of the story, and leads to a resolution or next step of the conflict.
In this case the expectation is the moon is behind the earth, but what if it dipped into, illuminated, led to, the next place to go? Or is the moon a character that is refusing to go beyond the horizon and chooses a different path?
