January prompt
-
To keep myself going I've made my own January prompt:
Who's eating my donut?!?
It's part of a story that's in my head that's developing into multiple books. And of course, given my background, my story is based on Kate Raworth's Donut Economy turning it into a story for kids to enjoy and learn about.
My plan is to do a little world building each day to focus on improving my drawing skills based on the Learning to draw everything classes. Including natural backgrounds, buildings, vehicles and characters. Storytelling will take a bit of a back seat for now.
I also want to learn to be able to draw something from different angles and perspectives, but maybe that will be a February thing. The end result end of January should be a scene from the story that I hope to develop further.
If you are in need of a prompt to keep the creative juices flowing, feel free to interpret this in any way you want and go for it .

@Chantal-Goetheer that’s the spirit! I may try your prompt too, but I was thinking of making one for myself as well!

@Asyas_illos @mag I started to try to create a castle for the king of the donut. My donut world is made of candy that people just can't stop eating. The king is a power loving type who's very concerned with pleasing the have it alls to stay in power.
So I came up with three rough ideas for castles. Which one do you like most? In the end they need to look candy like. I was really struggling to make them structurally sound. I never draw buildings and I find it very hard. So any feedback on structure is very welcome. Many thanks!

@Chantal-Goetheer I like how your building up your story and world. My favorite is probably the bottom one, and you could easily turn many of the architectural elements into candy. I see like gingerbread castle almost. Great job!
