Well that went by fast, and I’m afraid I don’t have much to show for it. Personally 2023 has been a bit of a rocky start for me. But I have remained optimistic and positive that I can turn things around. On a side note, I have been playing Roblox with my kids and in doing so it has given me a bit of inspiration in character design. Kinda fun too anyone else find artistic inspiration somewhere unexpected?

Yep, February always goes by too fast!

Still working on updating my portfolio. Want to include some black & white pieces to round it out. So at night while we're clustered around the TV, I've been working on those and have been loving going back to graphite ... where it all began!

Received two more rejections from literary agents on my book dummy. Will keep trying as time allows.

@Mary-Ramirez Aw thanks Mary! Honestly the inspo for this is just that aliens always find their way into my work haha it's one of my tropes and I love seeing a kid witness something mystical and being surprised by it

we were asked to paint our imagination of a child, so i made this little drawing

we talked about the abilities that small children are born with and how they develop. And that's what came straight to my mind.
A physicist would disagree, but the metaphor still works for me.
