Am trying to think about lighting more, and to use different colour temperatures. I feel like this is a step in the right direction, but likely means I'm going to have to re-paint previous pieces from my book dummies

I don’t post here very often anymore since I am doing mostly (bad) watercolors but sometimes I have a watercolor that ends up looking more like a children’s illustration than fine art and this is a great place to share this “neither this nor that” kind of painting
Anyway, this is a plein air watercolor I did of a chapel at a cemetery in my county where the neighbor’s chickens were getting their lunch.

I did a redraw of an old OC from 2020 (which I still find crazy that it was 3 years ago) This is Mark lol.
Top one is from 2020 and the bottom is the new one. Sorry for some reason the pictures upload kinda big XD
