Until now I only painted fine art pieces but I am working on my illustration skills. To practice I decided to paint some little led riding hood scene.
Right now there's not a lot to see and its in its ugly stage

Been a while! I've been so darned busy with non-art related stuff it's been forever seen I've been able be active over here. This year started giving us some breathing room so I've been getting back into it and making some plans!
Just got back from SDCC - I've never been and I just jammed every day with panels filled with graphic novel artists and comic artists and honestly it was a freaking blast. Learned a ton! Hope everyone has had a great summer so far!

@Annika-Wenzel Seeing this makes me want to get out my watercolours - I'm thankful for digital art but there's nothing like getting out paints and brushes. The ugly phase is an exercise in faith for me! My stuff never looks like I want it until the last 10% of the process.

I am pretty pleased with the result, although it always looks a bit different from what I originally imagined

@Sara-Therese-Art no its at my other favorite art school concept design academy. It's taught by a long time Disney artist Bill Perkins. I'm really enjoying the class and learning a lot so i'd definitely recommend it (though not for beginners) as developing a whole new style is a heavy lift even for advanced students/pros.
