I’m struggling with the placement of my axolotl mermaid. I’d love better ideas on fitting her in without blocking the fortress too much. IMG_1913.jpeg

@ksfabian i like the blue outline. I don’t think you should worry about covering the castle, if it is still recognizable. In fact i would love to see a version where you see how much you can cover while still having it readable. Also, i am wondering if it is a fish tank or the ocean —the props say to me “ fish tank” but the wide open foreground and no visible interior corners makes me wonder “ocean?”. If fish tank, how did this mini mermaid get in this tank? I assume she recently arrived, if shes interested in plastic treasure. Id love to hear her story!

@R-Fey-Realme I did try adding a bowl shape around it and it was very cramped I felt the composition flowed better without it. Here’s an update of the mermaid. IMG_1915.jpeg

I wonder if I should make her and the chest bigger.

@ksfabian I think you could try it with her and the chest larger. You could cover quite a lot of the castle and still have it easily readable. Have you tried some different compositions or view-points?

@Robyn-Hepburn Yeah, I moved the castle over to the left and made the mermaid and chest larger towards the bottom right. I will have to add some more plastic plants to balance things out. I'll share the updated image soon.
