            @Malachi-Hudelson I can't tell too much of your intended story, but this seems like the obvious direction most would go with the prompt. Explore other ways you can make the story uniquely your own, that others may not think of. Think about what could be in the darkness, and all places it could be dark and scary (closet, attic, basement, school, museum, old run down house, etc). Use a story from your past if you have one. Also, looking at the prompt, it says "carefully thru the darkness". Your rough looks more like she is running or very quickly walking.
