@Laurie-Sawyer it's great that you saw something you weren't happy with and decided to make a new version. Shows a strong work ethic and desire to improve. I'm loving the vibrant colours in both of these.

        Gryphon_Marc_Robinson.jpg

This is my submission for the Gryphon prompt. Drawing this one felt like doing Will's "Draw 50 things" class! I've probably over-filled the illustration but I really can't help myself with the details.

I've added a hint at a story that can hopefully lead into the prompt for next month.

In this image: Everyday after school Jack travels from our reality into a fantasy-world via a hidden portal under an old bridge in the woods. He lives in this realm with his best friend, a Gryphon called erm...I don't know...Doug? Anyway, there is some sort of looming disaster/problem that needs solving. Jack is doing research and comes to realise he is going to have to retrieve an artifact held in a castle. At the moment I have no idea what the artifact is, what the castle will look like, who he is taking it from and why, or what will happen if he doesn't succeed haha, but that's half the fun!

Can't wait to see everyone's submissions this month. It was a tricky one.

@Laurie-Sawyer The fix in the composition is much stronger and it feels much more touching with the way the mother griffin is using both of her hands to hand the baby the coin! I really am loving the subtle textures in the fur! The colors are nice and harmonious as well!

@rebeccamarie I really like the contrast between the large and dark griffin with the smaller and lighter animals. Great job!

                            Hey Everyone, here’s my submission.

The Story is Inspired by my cat bringing me some unwanted gifts every other morning haha!

I was also inspired by some of David M Bird’s work.

Looking forward to seeing everyone’s submissions! 😉

With eyes as keen as the owls’ and the speed, stealth and strength of a lion, the libraries books would surely be safe…
