@Heli-P I love this one, it is a sad situation but the expressions of the dog, girl and cat lighten up the mood 💕

Hello! For this one I felt inspired to try to make a mini comic.

Here's my submission for October! I experimented quite a bit with my workflow on this piece. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck while working on my drawings, so I decided to change things up. Trying various workflows and techniques has really helped me work through that feeling!

Here’s my submission for this month. The thought behind this was both a simple goodbye to the hair, but also goodbye to being a little kid and the older girl entering a part of childhood where she’s still very dependent on her parents but is exploring her own agency and will. A time of unplanned microbangs, blunt bobs and buzzcuts for the boys 😄 I’m curious if the concept is clear, does this read as a form of goodbye? I’ve asked some friends and family members, but none are illustraters/artist, and I think maybe that makes a difference 😅

@Sunniva I love this!! I think you took the concept of "goodbye" and gave it a wonderful lightheartedness upon initial viewing. however, after looking at it with more depth, I do see a deeper meaning. Seeing her sister's reaction definitely shows that age gap between the two, showing the different stages of where they are in their life. As a parent, I also relate to the unplanned micro bangs and blunt bobs hahaha. Your colour palette is great too!

This prompt was absolutely wonderful because I enjoy drawing everything sad and melancholic. I came up with many ideas, but ended up with this one, and in addition to the main image (on the right), I also created smaller images on the left to provide some background (I wanted to create even more of them, but I restrained myself). 🙂

Actually, I got excited and made a little video about this topic as well, if you're interested in watching 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJ58goyH42w

Finally my first submission, even though I've started on several illustrations for previous prompts. Had to keep it simple as I'm traveling right now. I really liked the prompt of this month, and it's great to see so many interpretations.

The picture is set at some glamping pods in the mountains. The little girl and the Shetland pony made friends whilst the girl and her family were staying there, but now it is time for the family to leave and they must say goodbye.
