A Kaiju for Kaijune
-
While I don't have much time to take challenges these days, my comic strip, Mutant Nina, often features kaiju-inspired monsters. Here's a few examples:
And also these monsters I designed for my Strange Friends comic. They're not giant-sized, but they're also inspired by japanese monsters:
-
@Lee-White I thought I was the only one who had never heard of it,I looked it up but must have spelt it wrong I got lots of pics of a asian guy.
-
Another rough, I may try a smaller bow, plus need to work out the people and the Kaiju baby's stance, too.
-
I did a monster from a 5 year old friend's description He likes cowboy boots.
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen I'm digging the suspenders!
-
@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen THat turned out great!
-
@Jake-Parker Thank you. It was super fun. I have a whole bunch more to do since I got a long list of kid's descriptions today My 3 1/2 year old grandson wants a monster with 10 bodies, ten legs, three big green eyes and monster claws Plus I have 7 more. Might not do them all this month though

@Charlie-Eve-Ryan Thanks

Alice's monster (3 1/2 years old or so)
Alice's monster. No eyes, a big mouth with lots of sharp teeth. Lots of blood, pink hair on a purple body, little spider legs, big fingers, teeth are yellow with green on them. It eats jelly and ketchup. -
My kaiju for the day

Had to finish up a children's book this month so my Kaijune posting faltered, but I've got a couple more here.
Really impressed with the work that's been posted here!
THis one just kind of popped into my head. No rough concepts first. I just kind of did him.

And here's one I did at draw lunch (here in provo/orem). Didn't think to take pictures of it's development. Sorry!
I think that's it for me this month. These were fun, and I might do a few more through out the year!
