bel and pixy line test small.jpg Hey everyone. Very much seeking advice , for finalising my style. Im really happy with the character designs , but i feel like im always failing is in the line art side of things. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Im Going for a powerpuff girl / dexters lab vibe. Thanks.

Try adding a thicker uniform line around the character's shilloute. Also make sure you line weights are consistent throughout, the cats out line is thicker than the little girls.

You might also want to look into working in vector with adobe illustrator. It takes some time to learn and you might have to change your process but it will help with constant line weight.

I definitely think you need to vary your linework, also adding some form to you shapes will make your image much more interesting.

Never give up, always push yourself two steps further than you believe you can go.

Your characters are very fun. Would you check this guy out? His line work is inky and not as complicated as it looks but those additional cross hatching help to spice up his work.

@Naroth-Kean Thanks Naroth , getting my characters across as fun is a big deal for me. Great suggestion , his style is very cool. I always seem to lose that look from my pencil sketches as soon as i draw my characters digitally, so frustrating. Id love to be able to achieve a skottie young type of finish, his work is insane. Ive just ordered myself a brush pen, looking forward to see if that will make any difference.angela_by_skottieyoung-d6d50y7.jpg
