Oil Portrait

Recently I decided to give up with digital art because I just don't feel right doing it, I guess I don't enjoy it as much as painting. So I thought what am I doing get back to painting. So I have, and I am hopefully getting this painting in a museum. To be confirmed. Saying that I have learnt a lot from studying art in different media it's the final image that matters not how you get there.Oil paints forever lol

It is very easy nowadays to try to learn everything,you are so good at oil painting that I think it is a great idea to specialize in oils,Good luck with the museum.

@dottyp Thanks, I think it's something I will do mostly now. I went through a learning journey on SVS and other videos and got a bit overwhelmed with all the different ways to create art and have decided to go back to basics haha... Oils is my main focus now. Learning photoshop has helped me out a lot though.

@jason-bowen I think that your painting looks great Jason! Have you checked out any of the Schoolism classes? There is an excellent oil painting class on the Dutch Flemish master style of portrait painting by one of my favorite instructors there - Thomas Fluharty - not saying you need to see it but it is a great class

I only recently found oil painting and I really love it! After doing it is really hard to want to go sit at my computer and do digital art. I have this fantasy that some crazy rich person will just fund me to paint all day, preferably in some Italian villa (though any villa would be just fine). Then my transition into a curmudgeonly hermit of an artist could be complete.
I really hope your painting gets into that museum, good luck. Are you familiar with Oil Painters of America and the Art Renewal Center. They both have great contests that focus on classical art styles.

@hilariousbosch Thanks got to keep battling to get some paintings out there. The dream is to to continue to do paintings and always learn for me. There is always lots of pets to paint for quick commissions for more art materials.
