@kevin-longueil This piece is fantastic - really. I couldn't help but mess with it a tiny bit. I would make the bird a stronger statement/focal point. It's a judgement call - but I think it would have a quicker read giving it more appeal. Great work!0_1510160703921_1510123016168-untitled_artwork-19.jpg

@will-terry Thank you so much Will!! I really appreciate your kind words and draw over! Having the crow be more focal or not has been a real back and forth for me - it is so great to get your thoughts on this!!

Really really beautiful - one of my favourites from the whole series! I had a thought about wether the "nose" of the tree and the crow are too parallel, but maybe that's not noticeable - especially if you pull out the crow a bit more, as Will suggested.

@smceccarelli Thank you Simona!...i had nearly given up on the Fighting Trees illustration but it is now becoming my new favorite - i need to resolve the nose situation as you say - i had not noticed the parallel lines at all so thank you!

I think i have improved it? Killed a few darlings in the process but i think it is better ...not sure about that branch i added on the wrist of the tree though......

@kevin-longueil woah! I love this grayscale painting you made. It's amazing! There is one thing I think you can work on though--- the contrast of your foreground and middle ground. Both grounds look so similar in value its hard to discern the middle ground from the foreground and vise versa. You can fix this by darkening the foreground, blurr it if possible, and then lighten the middle ground. That way the focus won't be stolen from our tree. If you find the foreground dark enough, just lighten the middle ground. I hope this helps. I can't wait to see the final piece.
