      I just have to ask, what's the story behind your piece? Why is the closet light on? Did the monster come from the closet and tried to hide under the bed? Or did the kid fool the monster? It's a bit unclear. I hope this helps.

        @eric-castleman great perspective. I agree with @Nyrryl-Cadiz about the closet light. If the kid is truly fearless then there would be no need for the light in the closet to be on. Could it may be a window and the moon from outside is the light source? Then the window could be opened like the alien came through the window.

              Thanks everyone for the great feedback. The concept behind the piece is that the kid is not afraid of monsters and might even want to play a game of laser tag, but the monster isnโ€™t having any of that nonsense ๐Ÿ˜‰

                @Eric-Castleman
                This is excellent!

                Using the closet light for the light source is a good idea. I don't think it negates the fearlessness of the kid. Plus, even if it does, it would just be part of the story. People take precautions to deal with their fears, and use tools to overcome challenges. Either way, it works!

                I think it's ok to have some unanswered questions, like "Did the monster come from the closet?", as long as the general story is apparent (which in this case, it is).

                I'm looking forward to seeing the finished version!

                  @eric-castleman Love it! Was wondering how it might read if there was a string in the little fellow's hand pinched between his left thumb and fore-finger kind of like an ok sign leading to the light in the closet - it could be shoelaces tied together (or not) with a little comic book script "CLICK" ....idea being the little boy just turned on the light when he heard the monster stir beneath his bed - other thought was to possibly lengthen the bed so the monster's head is silhouetted in the light of the closet - I really like this image Eric - looking forward to seeing the finish!

                          @eric-castleman Hey loving this image. Your door should be positioned on the inside of the door frame though, I only say that because I have a hung a few doors in my time lol.
