WIP- Critiques Wanted please

Hi, everybody! I was planning to submit this piece to the FEARLESS prompt challenge this month but given the time and my schedule, there is just no way for me to finish this illustration on time. Nevertheless, I still would like to ask what you guys think. Please feel free to give critiques.

Below are 2 versions of the illustration. Please help me decide which one looks best.

Also, the girl's face is still not finished. I'll work on that later.

I like the second one better. I like it in general and am looking forward to what you do with it.

@demotlj Yeah! I think so too. Thanks. I think the 2nd illustration is more dynamic. Do you have any critiques? Things I can work on more?

@nyrryl-cadiz I'm always hesitant to critique because I don't feel I know enough of what I am doing myself (!) but two things I see -- the dragon's right wing (on the left as you look at it) might need to be bigger since it's closer to the viewer, and if the horizon line is about at the knight's shoulders, the curves on his clothes should go up, I think. Is the Princess riding the dragon as a captive or as a voluntary rider?

I also prefer the second one. My only nit picky critique would be: raise the dragons head upward and pointed a little more towards the knight to look more intimidating. But it can also work how it is now

@demotlj Thanks for the critique! The princess is actually the rider. She's the more fearless one in this situation. I imagine her as some sort of damsel in distress who got tired of waiting and defeated the dragon who was guarding her tower. Now as her knight has arrived, we can see that she no longer needs his help.

@nyrryl-cadiz I love her face! That's why I asked because she looked awful relaxed if she were being rescued but I love this interpretation.

@demotlj Thanks. I wanted her to be this badass princess who got tired of waiting so she defeated her own dragon.

I would maybe show more of the other hand, I know its on the side and it might stand out more once colored but they look like little bumps. Maybe just extend them a little more. Also what if you opened the dragons mouth and had fire coming out? Just a thought, I think that would be cool with the color and bounce light off the knight.

@chip-valecek Hi, I was also thinking about the dragon breathing fire but as awesome as it may, I want the attention to be on the princess. I'm not scrapping that idea though. I'll surely consider it. Thanks

Hi, Everybody! Just a quick update! I've just printed my sketch and have just started shading it using my good old 2B pencil. It's almost finished.

I like the second one because the sword is in a bettr position, not lost in the Dragons hands. The stance is a little wider or deeper..and gives it a bit more tension, like he's ready to defend!

@marsha-kay-ottum-owen Thank you. They are actually just the same illustration. But in the 2nd version, I enlarged the knight. I think it's more dynamic this way, more life, more tension (as you said). Again, thank you.
