I'm digging this! The scythes frame the scene really well. The right one brings your eye down to the girl, nice touch.

Another work in progress....having a hard time figuring out which way I want to render this one. I went with hatching still not 100% sure this is what I'll go with yet.

Interesting piece.
I'm curious about the message or story behind this though. are the death characters searching for a child
to call their own, have they created
life or are they just about to take one?

if you render this in color I think you could get some really nice combinations. Looking forward to the updates

@evilrobot very cool vibe. I'm also really liking the costume/outfit choices. Can't wait to see the final product.

@gary-wilkinson As far as the message I wanted to leave it a bit open on this one and let the viewer make up their mind as to the story. Mainly I just wanted to have the juxtaposition of old bones and youth. Also I did another sample to see what it would look like if I added some texture to the line work and did a digital watercolor type treatment. What do you think? I was going to do a similar color style over the cross hatched version. But do you think it looks better without the hatching?
